Meeting rooms near Plaça d'Espanya and Sants

If you are calling a meeting with people travelling in from outside Barcelona, the location matters more than the room. The triangle between Plaça d’Espanya, Sants and Sant Antoni is, in transport terms, the best place in the city to do it.

Why this area rather than the centre

The short answer: this is where the trains and planes arrive.

• High-speed and long-distance rail. Sants station is the gateway for all long-distance trains. Someone leaving Madrid at 07:00 can be sitting in a room in this area by 10:00.
• Airport. The Aerobús from El Prat runs via Plaça d’Espanya on its route into town. Commuter trains also reach Sants.
• Metro. Plaça d’Espanya brings together L1, L3 and the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat, which connect to the Baix Llobregat and the Vallès.
• Fira de Barcelona. The Montjuïc exhibition site is on the square itself, which makes the area the natural choice for meetings running alongside a trade fair.

A space on Passeig de Gràcia sounds better on a business card, but it adds two changes for everyone arriving by train.

What to expect from rooms in this area

This is residential Eixample and refurbished older buildings, not office towers. In practice that means:

• Smaller and cheaper rooms than on the Diagonal–Passeig de Gràcia axis, with rates that often start below €20/h.
• Owner-run spaces, with less reception and more direct contact. That usually translates into more flexible hours and fewer forms.
• Mezzanine and first floors, typical of the Eixample. Worth confirming access if anyone in the group has reduced mobility.

Reference rates change often. Always confirm the current price with each venue before booking.

Choosing the exact spot

If half your attendees arrive by high-speed rail, measure the walk from Sants. If they fly in, measure from Plaça d’Espanya. If everyone is local, anywhere between the two works.

One detail people forget: check where to eat. A meeting that starts at 11:00 and overruns needs somewhere open nearby at 14:00, and in August that “nearby” narrows considerably.

WorkSpace.Cat is at Avinguda de Mistral 40, in Sant Antoni, right in the middle of that triangle: five minutes’ walk from Plaça d’Espanya and ten from Sants station.

We have two rooms, rented by the hour:

The large room includes a 4K projector, HDMI cabling and a 2 m whiteboard. Both have air conditioning and wifi, and the shared area with sofa, coffee machine and microwave is included. Prices exclude VAT, with a €20 minimum per booking and no monthly fee.

Access is adapted for people with reduced mobility and there is an accessible toilet. We open at any hour, seven days a week, by prior arrangement: call, email or WhatsApp us and we will confirm availability.
