What it costs to rent a meeting room in Barcelona
Renting a meeting room by the hour in Barcelona costs between €12 and €60 an hour. The spread comes down to three things: the district, the number of people, and whether equipment is included or billed on top.
This guide explains what you get in each tier so you can compare like for like.
The three price tiers
Budget tier: €12–18/hour. Independent spaces, usually off the Diagonal–Passeig de Gràcia axis, run directly by the owner. Rooms of 15 to 40 m² with wifi, air conditioning and a whiteboard. This is where you find rooms for small groups of two to five people.
Mid tier: €22–34/hour. Business centres and coworking chains with a staffed reception, multiple locations and online booking. The quoted price usually refers to a standard room for four to eight people. Check whether a membership or prepaid block of hours is required.
Premium tier: €45–60/hour and up. Design-led rooms, event spaces and prime addresses. Here you are mostly paying for the location and the finish.
Reference prices change often. Always confirm the current rate with each space before booking.
What quietly pushes the price up
Four charges frequently sit outside the advertised hourly rate:
- Minimum booking. Some spaces bill two hours even if you only need one.
- Equipment billed separately. Projector, screen or whiteboard may cost extra.
- Time of day. Early-morning and late-afternoon slots sometimes carry a surcharge.
- VAT. Check whether the advertised rate includes it. At 21% it changes the comparison considerably.
How to work out what you will actually pay
Multiply the hourly rate by the minimum booking, add any equipment you need, then add VAT if it is not already included. That figure — not the headline rate — is what you should compare between spaces.
An example: a room advertised at €25/hour with a two-hour minimum, a €10 projector charge and 21% VAT comes to €72.60 for a two-hour meeting. A room at €18/hour with no minimum and the projector included comes to €43.56 for the same meeting.
